It’s no secret that Singapore’s best shopping strip is the iconic Orchard Road and the city-state’s first Accor-owned Pullman hotel, Pullman Singapore Orchard, celebrates the famous street’s fashion vibes within its playful, stylish interiors.
Occupying a prime location in the heart of buzzy Orchard Road, next to Paragon and across from Ngee Ann City and Mandarin Gallery, the five-star hotel draws inspiration from the fashion powerhouses along the shopping street. From the moment you step into the hotel, fashion surrounds you in fresh and inspiring ways; in another words, expect plenty of Instagrammable moments throughout the hotel!
We shine the spotlight on the hotel’s vibrant spaces, designed to celebrate the world of fashion, and give you a heads-up on where to soak up fun-loving fashion vibes during your stay.
Playful public areas
Say hello to Rockie, the hotel’s effortlessly cool French bulldog mascot decked in shades and bow tie, and strike a pose with him for the ‘gram before entering the lobby.
At the lobby lounge, instead of conventional sofas, you sit on sleek stadium-style bleacher seats of timber steps or inset leather banquettes that are modelled after the runway-tiered seating at fashion shows.
If you’ve checked in prior to your arrival through the hotel’s mobile app, you can head straight to your room and open the room door directly with your smartphone. Otherwise, do a self check-in at one of the terminals at the lobby. If you prefer a human touch and a physical key card, the front desk staff are on hand to assist with the check-in process.
On the way to your room, you’ll pass through the hotel’s play, meet and dine areas on level 4 which has plenty of Instagrammable spots. The Atelier Lounge houses a bar, chic communal spaces decorated with fashion-inspired artefacts, as well as three meeting and private dining rooms named after three prominent fashion capitals of the world – Paris, New York and Shanghai.
Another Instagrammable gem on the way to the lift lobby is the cool walkway that’s lined by neon light strips which change colour every couple of seconds – the perfect spot for catwalks! There’s also a mesmerising psychedelic wall feature akin to a light tunnel effect in the lift lobby.
Stylish private spaces
The hotel’s 326 rooms and suites come in nine configurations, spread across levels 4 to 11. Clad in soothing earth tones of cream, brown and grey with lively pops of colour, and decked out in contemporary furnishings custom-designed by design studio EDG Design, rooms and suites reflect the bold and playful spirit of fashion houses.
In-room features and amenities include 55-inch Smart TVs, Nespresso coffee machines, T2 teas and bath products by America’s oldest apothecary C.O. Bigelow.
Take your fashion-inspired experience to the next level by staying at the split-level Club Residence room. Inspired by the apartments where fashion greats started their journey, developed their first big ideas and their eventual luxurious home, the room features a plush bed with leather headboard, modern artworks, an open wardrobe, a bespoke sofa and coffee table.
Framed with ribbed glass blocks to let in natural light, the airy bathroom walls are decked out in glossy black and white DIN tiles from innovative Italian tile company Mutina while the floor is covered in matte navy DIN tiles. Two sleek Apaiser stone sinks sit on a black-and-white terrazzo countertop which also houses a mirror cleverly hidden within a black vanity case.
As a Club Residence guest, you get exclusive access to The Archive Club, the hotel’s executive lounge on level 4 where you can enjoy a buffet breakfast, evening cocktails plus all-day non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. An Insta-worthy space for work, relaxation and social interaction, the stylish lounge is inspired by the archives of fashion houses where couture outfits and sketches are stored and revisited for inspiration. Check out its red lacquer bookshelves, adorned with eye-catching objets d’art that would make attractive photo backdrops.
Light-filled glasshouse eatery
The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant Eden on level 4 is set in a gorgeous light-filled glasshouse, mirroring the warehouses with glass ceilings that hosted fashion shows back in the day. Classical European winter gardens also serve as inspiration for the greenery that dot the glass-roofed dining room amidst streams of natural light which is perfect for your food shots.
Oozing laid-back Parisian brasserie vibes, Eden is decked in brown leather and grey chairs, sofas upholstered in tartan, marble countertops, black-and-white mosaic floor tiles and glossy brown dot-themed Mutina Punto Up tiles.
In the kitchen, a myriad of Asian flavours are elevated with a modern touch. Must-orders include Eden Crab Cake, Tuna Ceviche with Ikura, Thai Papaya Salad, Satay Lamb Rack, Beef Rendang, Steamed Atlantic Cod Fillet, Salmon Spicy Coconut, Szechuan T-Bone and White Sesame Hokkaido Milk Puff.
Pair your dishes with specially crafted cocktails by The Orientalist Spirits that pay home to Asian traditions. Marrying the brand’s gin, vodka, whisky and rum with Asian ingredients like pineapple, oolong tea, roselle and miso, choices include Singapore is a Jungle, 50 Shades of Red, Kelapa Club and The Originals.
Hip beach club
Undoubtedly the hotel’s most Instagrammable spot, the P.S.O. Beach Club, the only beach club on Orchard Road, offers a chic poolside escape in the city. Slide into your swimwear and soak up chill poolside vibes on one of the cosy cabanas or sun loungers with your favourite drink in hand.
Need more drinks or a bite? Wade over to the swim-up bar and press one of the playful buttons on the side of the bar counter to order cocktails, rosé, champagne, beverages or bar snacks.
In between sips and bites, take a dip in the pool and have fun posing with the large inflatable duck and swan floats.
