Celebrate a brand new season of good fortune and prosperity at Universal Studios Singapore and S.E.A. Aquarium this Lunar New Year.
Usher in the Fun with beloved characters such as Po from DreamWorks blockbuster Kung Fu Panda films at Universal Studios Singapore and receive bountiful blessings at S.E.A. Aquarium’s Spring in the Sea.
Here are the highlights of the festive celebrations at the two attractions.
Usher In The Fun At Universal Studios Singapore
7 January – 28 February
Usher in the Year of the Ox by following the Majestic Dragon on a fun park-wide trail and meet your favourite characters dressed in their festive best.
Besides Po, look out for Woody and Winnie Woodpecker, Illumination’s iconic Minions – Stuart, Bob and not-to-be-missed Kevin, who shows off his specially designed Ox outfit.
Meet your neighbourhood friends from Sesame Street, the stars of DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar films, plus favourite DreamWorks Animation characters Shrek, Fiona, Puss In Boots and Kitty Softpaws, who will share New Year blessings and oblige with plenty of photo opportunities.
Fans of Transformers can look forward to an interactive experience where Optimus Prime and Megatron will greet guests in Mandarin at meet-and-greet sessions.
Complete your festive experience by going on adrenaline-pumping rides such as TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle and tucking into sumptuous Chinese New Year-themed treats.
Spring In The Sea At S.E.A. Aquarium
9 January – 2 March
Receive bountiful blessings as you come face-to-face with fascinating marine life such as seahorse, scroll corals and slingjaw wrasse, each a living symbol of good fortune.
Fortune seekers can follow the Trail of Fortune to hunt for hidden gold ingots while meeting living symbols of prosperity like the scrawled cowfish. A symbol of strength, the scrawled cowfish has a hardened exterior, formed from fused hexagonal-shaped scales, which becomes its protective armour. Also keep your eyes peeled for the scarlet-hued shoulderbar soldierfish to usher in the huat (good fortune and joy) in the Year of the Ox.
Shutterbugs, get your creative festive shots for the Gram by posing with the mythical sea dragon at the Sea Dragon Surprise, a set of dragon dance-inspired photo installations located around the aquarium.
Check out the DIY Dragon Wall where you and your kids can stick scales on the sea dragon mural and help complete the auspicious art piece.
