To mark Singapore’s 55th birthday, Gardens by the Bay has lined up some exciting activities and deals such as floral displays, virtual workshops, special promos and even a star-studded concert which you can catch online or on TV from the comfort of your home.

Here are 5 celebratory Gardens by the Bay activities to check out and be a part of.

A Tale of Orchids – A Story of Resilience

3 – 30 August, 9am to 8pm
Flower Dome
Admission charges apply

This new pocket garden display, which tells the story of resilience (from the hardy nature of orchids to the dedication and strength of Singaporeans), is a celebration of the Singapore spirit.

Check out orchid hybrids cultivated by the Gardens’ own horticulturists and an array of orchids from local nursery Toh Garden. Adding a special touch to the display is a digital collection of orchid paintings by local artists, presented in collaboration with local arts charity The Very Quiet Studio. Each painting is a unique depiction of Singapore’s national flower Vanda Miss Joaquim (Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim) and were created as a token of appreciation to the healthcare professionals for their hard work in the fight against Covid-19.
