Halloween Fun For Everyone at Universal Studios Singapore
Till 1 November
Put on your favourite Halloween costume and enjoy trick-or-treating around Universal Studios Singapore. Meet Illumination’s irresistibly mischievous Minion Monsters as they make their return at Minion Monsters Tricky Treats.
Then embark on the Trail of Treats to collect candies, gummies and chocolates from Candy Ambassadors, and take selfies with your favourite characters dressed in their Halloween best. Meet popular characters from iconic movies such as classic Universal Monsters Dracula, Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein; Gru and his family from Illumination’s Despicable Me and Minions films; the DreamWorks Animation cast of characters from Madagascar and Puss In Boots; Sesame Street friends; and a ferocious Jurassic World Velociraptor.
If you need to fuel up after all that selfie- or wefie-shooting, chow down on a spread of eye-popping Halloween-themed eats like Monster Burger, Rice From The Dead and Eyeball Meatballs that are also a fun feast for the eyes!
Since you’re all dressed up, flaunt your Halloween costume at the park for a chance to win an instant attractive prize at the Costume Contest. You also stand a chance to win a weekly prize by uploading a photo of yourself in your costume at Resorts World Sentosa to your Instagram page. To qualify, simply insert #HalloweenFunatRWS, plus tag and follow @RWSentosa. A winner will be selected each week. All winners will be notified via Instagram.
Dive Into The Deep Boo Sea at S.E.A. Aquarium
Till 3 November
Experience the chills of an underwater Halloween!
Meet some of nature’s scariest-looking marine animals and search for lost pearls in a fun treasure photo hunt. Come face-to-face with animals such as the Japanese warbonnet, recognised by the prominent Indian chieftain’s headdress-like cirri on top of its head, and the menacing wolf eel, known for its voracious appetite which can rival the mythical “werewolf”.
Treasure hunters can keep their eyes peeled and go on a Hunt for the Lost Pearls, hidden within five habitats in the aquarium. Intrepid folks can solve riddles and uncover the lost pearls to win a mystery gift. As you dive deeper to hunt for the lost pearls, get “entangled” in the tentacles of Kai the Kraken at a photo wall display and snap a wefie.
Come in your creepiest costume and you may just win Best Dressed prizes like one-day tickets and special passes worth up to $222 each week! Just take a photo of yourself at S.E.A. Aquarium, and post it on your Instagram with #HalloweenFunatRWS, plus tag and follow @RWSentosa. A winner will be selected each week. All winners will be notified via Instagram.
Halloween-Themed Bites at Pizzeria & Malaysian Food Street
Till 31 October
Worked up a monstrous appetite after enjoying all the activities? Head for Malaysian Food Street and Pizzeria to enjoy some cheeky and spooky eats.
At Malaysian Food Street, you can tuck into mouth-watering local flavours with a scary twist such as Nasi Hantu, kampung-style prawn fried rice complete with smoky “wok hei”, smoky chicken satay drizzled in peanut sauce and a fried egg shaped like a skull; and Spooky Cookies, five adorable “ghosties” cookies in four locally inspired flavours – Gula Melaka, Chocolate Chip, Coconut Pandan and Vanilla Butter.
Over at the family-friendly Pizzeria, feast on Insta-worthy Halloween pizzas, pastas and cocktails.
Start with the Watcher, a fresh green spinach tagliatelle tucked underneath a rich and tantalising beef Bolognese sauce, topped with creamy mini mozzarella cheese with a drop of squid ink “eyeballs” staring back at you as you devour them.
An eerie dish that lets you indulge in your zombie fantasies is BRAAAINS!, a squid ink dough pizza layered with piquant tomato sauce that resembles red gore and splatter, topped with black olives, buffalo mozzarella cheese and “brains” that are actually juicy beef meatballs.
Other spine-chilling creations include Mummy Mia, a crispy bruschetta topped with tomato sauce, mushrooms, olives and “wrapped” with provolone cheese, and Web of Lies, a sweet spider web pizza topped with blueberry compote, vanilla sauce, rainbow sprinkles and mini marshmallows.
Don’t leave before firing up your spirit with Fiery Lick, a wicked drink made with jalapeños, vodka and cranberries.
