Water parks in Singapore are a great way to beat the heat and cool down while having loads of fun with family and friends.

From exhilarating thrill rides and shallow kiddie pools to full-on theme parks, water parks offer something fun for every family member.

We spotlight six places where you and your fambam or BFFs can get some waterpark fix.

1. Wild Wild Wet

Downtown East, 1 Pasir Ris Close
Opening hours: Weekdays (except Tuesday) – Noon to 6pm (last admission at 5pm); Weekends, school holidays & public holidays – 11am to 6pm (last admission at 5pm)

One of Singapore’s largest water parks, Wild Wild Wet boasts 15 rides and play areas that cater to everyone from thrill seekers to kids.

Thrill seekers will definitely get a heart-pumping experience on the Torpedo, a water slide which lets you free-fall from six storeys with high-speed twists and turns. Another popular ride is the Vortex High Speed Water Slide, an enclosed flume ride that features a 360-degree extreme loop that sends you splashing down with speeds of up to 600m per minute.

For something more kid-friendly, head for the Shiok River. Skirting the perimeter of the park, this 335m pool lets you lean back and go with the flow. The little ones can also burn off energy at the Splash Play Kiddie Swimming Pool With Sprinklers, a kiddie pool featuring fun jets, water sprays, water tunnels and water cannons for children to splash around in.

The park is also home to Kidz Zone where there are exhilarating kid-sized versions of big rides such as Royal Flush and Kraken Racers, so the kids can also get a taste of fun slides.

2. HydroDash

However, parents should take note that kids under the age of 6 or who are shorter than 1.1m are not allowed into the park. Kids can only play in a smaller zone in the park and are not allowed into the main zones.

Although the park is quite popular, the course is so huge that human traffic is rarely an issue, so you can focus on just having fun without bumping into other visitors.

The park offers both a one-hour and a two-hour day pass. Because the course is quite physically demanding, one hour at the park may be enough to tire you out.

3. Adventure Cove Waterpark

The park is fixed with a high-elements section, the Aqua Course, where you can challenge yourself by balancing across ropes and obstacles while hanging over the pool below. But you’re not spared from getting drenched even while swinging precariously in the air as the park has creatively incorporated wet elements along the course.
